On Earth, mutants are generally second class citizens...if their lucky. Abuse and persecution is common everywhere. Ordinary humans see mutants as either tools to be exploited or as a threat. Many do not see mutants as humans at all. The United States (and other nations) have made laws to protect mutants, but these laws are often ignored. When violence occurs, much like the old lynching's in the American South, the human perpetrators are rarely charged.
Mutants on Earth are powerful, but also afraid. Like Bellasarian mutants, they are vastly outnumbered by their human cousins. Most mutants try to escape trouble by blending in and passing themselves off as baseline humans. Others are just too outwardly different to hide. Most (much to the disgust of the Bellasarians) tolerate human fear and abuse, exercising patience and hoping for the day when they'll be accepted. But there are those who can't fit into the mold. They don't have patience, and they won't hide any longer, and when pushed, they push back...hard! Although feared by humans and disapproved of by many mutants on Earth, these are just the type of young men wanted by the Bellasarians to replenish their own dangerously reduced adult male population.

Like the Martians in Edgar Rice Burroughs stories, many Bellasarians wear little to no clothes. The only difference is that Burroughs described the Martians quite clearly as naked aside from their jewels, ornaments and the harnesses for their weapons. But over the years, in novels or comic book adaptations, illustrators (until very recently) have been hard pressed to get around this little problem. The end results being folks that often looked NOTHING like the way they're actually described in the books. The terrible movie adaptions (understandably) were the same.
My characters however, look exactly as they're described in the novels because I'm the artist as well as the author. I can make sure there's no tampering with the characters. It also helps that most people are not as prudish today as they used to be...most of them. Besides, when dealing with shapeshifters, nudity is unavoidable. In mainstream comics and cartoons when people grow ten feet tall, shrink or change into animals, miraculously their clothes and accouterments change with them. Again, we know why, but its stupid and I'm not bound by such ridiculous rules. Also, Bellasarian women are arrogant and vain. They are rightly proud of their beauty and quite brazenly like to tease the human men who can't touch anymore and seduce the mutant men who can. Finally, feral mutants (major players in Book II) often roam in wild areas as great beasts. People who can change into tigers and bears don't need houses or clothes. All of this said though, not all of the Bellasarians are naked or illustrated as such and none of the Earth mutants are.
Bellasarians are the descendants of mutant slaves that were bred and genetically engineered by their human masters for various purposes...including sex. Mutant pleasure slaves were meticulously bred over generations for  physical appeal and passion. Many men wish they could tailor make women to their ideal. Many women wish the same about men. Well on Bellasaria they did. Generally speaking, most Bellasarian women are literally a man's fantasy come to life. The same can be said of the men where women are concerned. However, the humans did more than just breed beautiful overly developed people. They genetically and immorally manipulated pleasure slaves in an attempt to create docile, but passionate toys for their pleasure. They both failed and succeeded in their efforts. The slaves were indeed beautiful and passionate, but not in the way the humans had intended. Fear and force kept them subdued, but they were not innately docile. Actually, they are ten times more emotional and ferocious than their original ancestors. This would be a lesson brutally taught to their human masters one day. It was only after they overthrew their masters that the hormonal traits the  humans strove so hard for, (but were being suppressed by intense rage and hatred) would begin to manifest...and not just in the pleasure slaves.
Inferior specimens of pleasure slaves (those that didn't meet the highest grade) were cast off and placed within other mutant slaves castes, thus passing on certain genetic traits into the other classes of slaves. The end results was an entirely new strain of mutants that were beautiful, powerful and very aggressive...in many ways. And here is where the erotic elements come into place.
Unlike baseline humans, or mutants of the original strain, mating is not an option for Bellasarians...especially the females. Unlike baseline humans and Earth mutants, Bellasarians females go into heat at puberty. This form of estrous is called "The Hunger". The longer this condition goes unaddressed, the more severe it becomes and the more dangerous the females becomes. In severe heat, Bellasarian women have been known to become violent and even kill. Naturally, to prevent this, families quickly take precautions to prevent pregnancies and then turn them loose to find a boy of their choice to break the fever. As for the boys? They are affected too, but not nearly as bad. A young Bellasarian male is pretty much the same as any teenaged boy, human or mutant...just a little more so. However, under certain conditions, male Bellasarians also experience this almost uncontrollable urge to mate. But I'll get to that soon enough.
After puberty Bellasarian females generally do not experience "The Hunger" to such severe levels again unless they abstain from sex for a very long time or bond with a true permanent mate. Actually, some don't go into severe heat at all until they do bond. However, Bellasarian women are notoriously hot-blooded, without inhibitions and very aggressive. They are cold and even vicious with human males, but when it comes to mutant men they are rightly called shameless by both humans and Earth mutants alike. But outsiders often misjudge Bellasarians and their ways. Bellasarians are not a prudish people, but they do have their own standards of morality. Despite their natures, females usually are quite picky. Bellasarian women don't play hard to get when they find a man to their liking, but they don't just sleep with anyone either...even when they're in heat. This is especially true for mutant women of the high nobility and royal families. For them, finding a permanent mate or even temporary partner strong enough to break the fever without being broken is not a problem easily solved.
There is another form of estrus however, and it affects both males and females. Its called "The Bonding". This occurs when more than just desire is at work. Bonded people mate for life, literally, "Till-Death-Do-We-part". A female who finds a "Bonded Mate" will lose all desire for other males. But considering the natures of Bellasarian women, this can be very dangerous if her mate is absent for too long. When a male Bellasarian bonds he can experience "The Hunger" just as severely as a young girl at puberty. However, like all males on two or more legs, he can still succumb to the advances of other females, especially if he is a feral mutant and they are in heat. For the Bellasarians, this is a real annoyance when more than one female bonds with the same male...or the other way around. And it does happen. The law is clear in these cases, bonded people cannot be kept apart, even if or when their families or even nations are bitter enemies. The result is that polygamy is widely practiced, and because Bellasarian society is Matriarchal, Polyandry as well...but it is less common. These irresistible genetic factors have shaped Bellasarian society from top to bottom.

Well, I have ONE follower for this blog. I'm sure the number of followers rise as word slowly gets out, but if even one person is happy with my work I'm happy...for now. Lol! Anyway, the reviews for 'MUTANTS OF BAIN' book one are very good on Amazon and Barns and noble...mostly. The feedback was very good for 'MUTANTS OF BAIN II: Bellasarians People of the Hunger' as well, but I haven't seen any reviews for it on Amazon or Barns and Noble yet. However, it has a very good rating on a site called Kilibro.com. My latest book THE MUTANT WORLD has just come out, so we'll just have to wait for any online reviews. But so far, the responses are very good.

Okay, let's talk about the world of MUTANTS OF BAIN or M.O.B. I've been a fan of science fiction, fantasy and comics most of my life, and yes, I loved X-MEN.
Anyway, I decided to write my own mutant stories along the familiar lines of X-MEN, with human paranoia and persecution, but with the mutants actually fighting to win this time. The Mutants in these stories fall into two categories: Original Strain/Earth Mutants and the Bainian Strain/Bellasarian Mutants. To understand the difference you need to know the history.
The American government set up a facility in one of their territories on the Caribbean Island of Bain for the education and training of young mutants.  Rogue scientist discovered an Earthlike planet in another dimension and developed the means to teleport there. They then, with the aid of renegade military personnel, teleported the entire Island and its native population there where they established themselves as the elite class over the native humans and enslaved the mutants, doing pretty much as they pleased with them, including illegal (on Earth) genetic experimentation and breeding. Then, one day...the island reappeared.
On Earth only about five years had passed when the Island of Bain finally reappeared, but over a hundred and fifty years had passed in the other realm. A desperate group of human scientist had returned Bain to the Earth Realm hoping that the humans there would save them. The mutants had revolted and taken over the island and their former masters (those still alive) were now their slaves. Unfortunately for the humans, both on Bain and elsewhere, these mutants were now a breed apart from their Earthborn kin.
Generations of selective breeding have produced mutants much more intelligent, powerful and ferocious than most of the original stock on Earth. Also, they are and extremely attractive and hormonal people. This is a result of genetic engineering and selective breeding as well, and the reason just as perverse and cruel. But for now the primary differences between the two strains of mutants are these.
Most Earth mutants usually have one genetic gift only. A shapeshifter doesn't have telepathy. A telepath doesn't have super strength and so on. Often one or both of an Earth mutant's parents are human. Earth mutants have seen and experienced both the best and worst side of humans. Mentally, many see themselves as human and may even be ashamed of their mutant abilities and keep them hidden. Physically, Earth Mutants are not as powerful as Bainians. In cases of mutants intermarrying among themselves, yes, multi-gifted and more powerful offspring have been born. But these people are not usually anymore vicious, hormonal or intelligent than the average human or mutant...unless that is their gift.
Bainians/Bellasarians are the product of generations of mutant with mutant breeding. They were slaves. For their own reasons the humans bred mutants scrupulously for particular strengths and purposes, nearly ALL have two or more abilities. Most have some degree of telepathic ability. They are much stronger than their original strain cousins, many of whom are no stronger than humans. Even the weakest Bellasarian female is as strong as a human male in peak condition who trains seriously and regularly. What a Bainian strain mutant considers truly strong far surpasses that of all but the most powerful of Earthborn mutants would see as strong. Temperament-wise, Bellasarians are aggressive, ferocious and have little love for humans. Few if any have had any positive contact with humans, especially the females who rule in Bellasarian society. Bellasarian females are infamously beautiful in face and form, but equally vicious and cunning. With their own men, and even Earth mutant males, they can and ARE very gentle and affectionate...even aggressive in quite another way (another reason why the males don't complain about their rule). However, human males are another story completely. Bellasarian women have been know to kill human men for forgetting themselves and human females for the same offense with their men. Yes, Bellasarian males are just as physically appealing to the opposite sex as the females.
Finally, Bellasarian mutants do NOT consider themselves human. They see themselves as superior and even contemptuously refer to humans as monkeys.
Alright, this pretty much tells you the situation of Mutants of Bain Book I/Mutants of Bain. This is getting long and I don't want to give away anything for those just discovering the books. Besides...I'm looking forward to all questions. So that's all for now and I'll be waiting for the comments.
